La Petite Agora is a temporary wooden pavilion designed by architect Jean-Christophe Quinton for the 3rd edition of the Biennale of Architecture and Landscape (BAP!), held in Versailles from May 7 to July 13, 2025. It is installed directly in front of the Palace of Versailles, on the Avenue de Paris.

he pavilion serves as a space for dialogue and cultural exchange around architecture, urban life, and the climate crisis. It is a symbolic and functional gathering place where citizens, artists, and professionals can engage in discussions and artistic events. The initiative is led by the Métropole du Grand Paris, in collaboration with institutions like:

  • Maison de l’architecture Île-de-France
  • Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde
  • Pavillon de l’Arsenal

The space hosts concerts, theater performances, conferences, and debates.

The pavilion can accommodate up to 160 seated guests, making it suitable for medium-sized public events.

Built entirely from solid wood, using simple and sustainable construction techniques.

It avoids the use of concrete and minimizes the use of steel.

The structure features two large openings:

  • A horizontal window framing the Palace of Versailles.
  • A vertical window facing the tree-lined avenue of the former Royal Stables.

Inside, the exposed wooden framework creates a gently sloping roof, giving a warm, open, and inviting atmosphere.
